What's In My Freezer app good for
I bought this app when I bought my new freezer. It was easy to inventory my items as I put them in. When I move them up to my refrigerator freezer, and tells me where everything is. They are working on improving when items expire on my iPhone. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. Hopefully, it will soon be fixed by either this up or The people that take care of the iPhone updates.
This does everything I can think of. It allows me to track the contents of three freezers and every single aspect of the app can be customized. Love it.
So far its doing the trick! I needed an easy and manageable way to keep track of what was in my 2 freezers. It was super easy to input all the information, categorize it and indicate where it was located and in which freezer. Ive been keeping up with it, so its working for me. Its great to be able to input a category and see if its in there. Rather than buying more meat at the supermarket, I can check the app and see that I already have some in the freezer. Great! Only thing Id like to change is the loacation information. My freezer is not set up the same way that the locations are noted. But I was easily able to work around it.
This is a great app for storing items and seeing what you have in multiple freezers. If only I could create different views that would show me all of my items sorted by category (i.e. Poultry) and date frozen, or by location and category, I would give it a full 5 stars. When you have a lot of items, and more than 1-2 freezers, sorting and ordering functionality is key!!
Would have rate 5 stars if the filters allowed to go by date or by how long its in the freezer. Other than that I like it!
I defrosted my freezer and inventoried everything in it …took only minutes to enter everything. Wonderful app. Easy to use. And I’ve synced it between my iPad and iPhone. I highly recommend purchasing this app!
Some bad moments
What a joke-a complete ripoff. Far too simple- cant believe I bought this piece of crap.
Easy to use and customize - I set up categories for my basement and kitchen freezers. It crashed twice while I was inputting my basement freezer contents (40-50 items one after the other), but seems to be working fine now.
I like that I can backup my data to Dropbox. Im thinking of adding some non-freezer grocery items, like salad dressing and ketchup, so Ill know if I need to stock up on those things when they go on sale.
No more messy lists (yay!) and easy to search by category, such as Fruit or Vegetable. I wish the timeframes for the warning symbols could be customized like the locations and categories can, as the default setting gives you a warning after only 3 months.
Im surprised there are no reviews for this app, as it it just great! Its easy to use, you can use set categories or make your own, you can enter dates and the app warns you when expiration dates are near, there are filters for categories and locations so you dont have to scroll through everything in the freezer, and much more. I made a category for pantry and one for my upstairs freezer...no more waste! Very user friendly.
Works as advertised. Works across multiple IOS devices via Dropbox backup and restore. Building inventory, searching and modifying inventory couldnt be any easier. Well worth the asking price!
This is very much needed. This app is helpful in keeping track of whats in the abyss of the freezer.
I feel much more like a responsible adult having bought and used this app. Very helpful! Its nice having at least this part of my life in order.
